Manzoor, the bus driver,died at the hands of robbers to save the passengers
Manzoor, the bus driver of Hanif Enterprise, was unemployed all the time during the lockdown. House rent left, wife ill. So he was driving the bus without going home for nine days in a row for extra money. Meanwhile, on the night of August 31, Manjur’s Panchagarh-bound bus fell into the hands of a group of robbers on the highway in Pirganj police station area of Rangpur. Tworobbers came and grabbed a knife to his neck and asked him to stop the bus on the side of the road. They try to snatch control of the steering wheel. But Manzoor, not listening to the robbers, tried to park the car horizontally on the road to keep the passengers safe. The plan was that if the car could be parked like this, the road would be closed and there would be a lot of traffic jams, then people would get help. As soon as he realized his purpose, the robbers hit him on the shoulder. Manzoor, 55, later died from the injuries.
